Description
Akumal, which means Place of the Turtles in Mayan, is a small charming seaside town just 20 minutes south of Puerto Aventuras, and just north of Tulum. It is home to two of the most beautiful bays on the coast; Akumal Bay and Half Moon Bay. It is also a short jaunt to both Solomon Bay and Tank Ha, which are both stunning beachside gems that are “must-see” when visiting the area.
Second is an underground cenote where you trek, and swim, Aktun Chen is a remarkable natural eco-park ranked as a Top 10 Underground Walks by National Geographic and one of the highest ranked things to do in Akumal by TripAdvisor.
Itinerary
Pickup: at your hotel or Airbnb/ Villa/ Hotel
Turtles Duration: 1 hr and 15 min Arrive at Akumal Dive shop for your swim with the Turtles. Pangas hold up to 6 passengers so you may be with others and your guide during this portion of the tour.
Aktun Chen tour duration: 1 hour 15 minutes approximately. The next stop is an amazing underground cenote, something known as the Mayan underworld. You will hear tales about history, and the creation of the area, and swim in fresh, cold, and clear water.
Our final stop is the Buena Vista Restaurant approx 2 hours in Akumal along the beach, enjoy an amazing pina colada and have a wonderful meal in a hop and fun location.
We will return you to your final stop at your villa or Airbnb after an amazing day in the Riviera Maya
